On the morning of 2nd January, 2024, the first 1300TEU dual-fuel (methanol) container ship built by Sanfu shipyard for Norwegian ship owner held the keel laying ceremony at 2# shipyard, representatives of ship owner, DNV classification society and Sanfu shipyard attended the keel laying ceremony.
The ship has an overall length of 149.95m, a vertical length of 147.25m, a beam of 26.80m, a depth of 14.6m, a design draught of 8.00m, a maximum DWT of 18,700 tons, a design speed of 18 knots, and it has been classed by DNV.
The ship is developed and designed by Shanghai Shipbuilding Research & Design Institute, with high-grade one-man bridge building "NUAT (AW)" and "Recyclable" classification symbols, will mainly serve with the North Sea and the Norwegian coastline, relying on the route of the green methanol plant, will establish a "green methanol plant" in Northern Europe. It will establish a "green corridor" in Northern Europe, realizing carbon neutrality in the whole life cycle and operation area; the ship's EEDI energy efficiency index fully meets the requirements of Stage III.
